Our Adult Sacramental Program is Called RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation). It is one of the oldest traditions in the Catholic Church that we still follow today, that gives adults the opportunity to do their Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, First Communion, and/or Confirmation).
If you are age 18 or older, you are eligible to begin the RCIA program. We begin this program every year towards the end of August and it lasts through to the Spring of the following year. This program is also open to any adult who has already completed their Sacraments of Initiation but would like to refresh their knowledge on the Catholic Faith.

THEY DO NOT MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF BEING A SPONSOR
Just because a proposed sponsor does not meet the requirements of a sponsor it does not mean they are a bad person or are being judged. If the proposed sponsor would like to be fully initiated or have their marriage blessed, St. John of God is fully willing to help facilitate them in either of these processes.
Unfortunately they will not be able to be a sponsor for a candidate this year, unless they fulfill what is required before the candidate is to receive the Sacraments.
