Quinceañeras

What is a Quinceañera?

The increasingly popular tradition of the Quinceañera. celebration among Latino families emerges from indigenous times of the Mexican and Latin American culture. Although it is not a sacrament, it is a ritual that celebrates the right of passage from childhood to adolescence amongst other important human values such as: the value of life, commitment to family, community, and faith. This celebration recognizes the role of the youth in the Christian community and acknowledges the commitment of responsibility the 15 year old has made to the Christian Community.

Quinceañeras here at St. John of God are celebrated on Saturdays at 10:30am. The time may be changed to 2pm according to availability which can be checked 4months prior to the date desired. (no sooner than 4 months)
